Spunlace Definition:What is spunlace nonwoven Fabric?

Spunlace (Also called Hydroentanglement) is a process of bonding wet or dry fibre webs by carding, air-flow lay-flat, or wet lay-up, the resulting bonded fabric being a nonwoven.

It uses a fine, high-pressure jet of water to penetrate the fibre web, strike a conveyor belt (or ‘wire’ in the case of paper conveyor belts) and bounce back causing the fibres to entangle.

Fibers:

Polyester Fiber

Spunlace non woven fabric used short staple fibers, the most commonly is polyester staple fibers and viscose staple fibers.

Sometimes Polypropylene (PP) is also used for spunlace production.

Some other raw material, such as cotton, tencel, chitin etc. These fibers are more natural and they are from plant or animal, which is more expensive.
